6-2 rotation - modified?
Hi
My daughter just returned to her school volleyball team after a summer off (she was in Germany). The team previously did not use any particular system (4-1, 5-1, 6-2). She has played club ball in which they did use 6-2 rotation. In returning she felt a bit awkward as the team has been playing all summer. In any case, she was told they are using 6-2 rotation. While in the back row she was told to move to the left on serve. When in the front row she was told to move to position 1 on serve. This does not make sense to me and it confused her since this is not waht she was taught in club ball. Am I missing something? Why would she have to play the game from the back row in a 6-2? My idea of this is that the back setter moves to the front as active setter alowing three hitters.
