Default Rogers, Dalhausser survive scare

Michelle Sturino and Peter DiNova pulled off the upset of the AVP Crocs Tour stop in Louisville today -- they beat Sinjin Smith and Hans Stolfus.

At least for one point.

Sturino and DiNova beat Smith -- the "King of the Beach" -- and Stolfus in a game of "King of the Court" during Smith's clinic on the Crocs court.

"That was amazing, that was a lot of fun," Sturino, 25, of Toronto said. "I want to stick around and talk to Sinjin and get some tips from him."

That's was Smith's clinic is all about.

"I've always enjoyed teaching people," said Smith, the 146-time beach champion who conducts his clinics at each of the AVP Tour Crocs stops. "I enjoy teaching kids and adults the right way to play because by just changing a few parts of their game it makes it much easier to play."

The clinic offered the fans instruction from Smith as well as interaction and competition with AVP Tour players, including Stolfus and women's players Dianne DeNecochea and Barbra Fontana.
