IRVINE, Calif. – The UC San Diego men’s volleyball team upset the defending national champion and 7th-ranked UC Irvine Anteaters by a 30-25, 30-22, 31-33, 34-32 score on Saturday night in Irvine. The win marked the Tritons first win over the Anteaters since the 2004 campaign. UCSD would have three chances at game point while the Anteaters had one of their own. After a Gerald Houseman ace, Russ Hardy sent down the match-ending kill.
