Senior middle hitter Laurel Abrahamson and sophomore outside hitter Amy DeGroot combine for 39 of the team's 70 kills to help lead the 17th-ranked University of San Diego women's volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Loyola Marymount University Saturday afternoon in a West Coast Conference match.
With the 34-32, 30-19, 24-30, 30-23 win, the Toreros improve to 14-5 overall, remain in a three-way tie for first place with a 4-1 WCC record and have now won their third consecutive match. With the loss, the Lions fall to 10-8 overall and 2-3 in the WCC.
