The Wildcats won by scores of 30-24, 30-25, 30-27 to improve to 14-5 overall and 6-3 in the Big 12 and gain sole possession of fourth place in the conference. The Cyclones, who have received votes in the last four CSTV/AVCA Coaches Polls, drop to 11-8 overall, 5-4 in the Big 12 with their second-consecutive 3-0 loss.
