The USC men's volleyball team went 1-3 in the pre-season Can-Am Challenge hosted by the University of Alberta on Oct. 11-13.

The Trojans dropped their first 3 matches before defeating Calgary, 25-19, 30-32, 25-23, 18-25, 15-12 on Oct. 13.

Earlier, USC opened with a 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 26-24 loss to host Alberta on Oct. 11. The Trojans then lost a pair of matches on Oct. 12, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-15 to McMaster and then 21-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-23 to Trinity Western.
