Cal Poly Stays Atop Big West Standings with 3-1 Win
Led by junior opposite Kylie Atherstone’s match-high 23, four Mustangs reached double-digit kill figures Friday evening as the No. 24 Cal Poly volleyball team kept pace in the Big West Conference title race with a 19-30, 30-26, 30-27, 30-23 victory against Cal State Northridge at The Matadome.

OU Knocks Off No. 14 Kansas State
The No. 23 Oklahoma volleyball team knocked off No. 14 Kansas State, 3-1 (30-27, 30-25, 26-30, 30-28), Friday night at the McCasland House.
The Sooners improved to 16-5 and 8-3 in the Big 12 after playing their third straight top-15 team in less than a week. Oklahoma now sits alone at third in the Big 12 standings after beating Kansas State twice this season. The Wildcats fell to 15-6 and 7-4 in conference action.

No. 22 Red Storm Volleyball Sweeps UConn, 3-0
The No. 22 St. John's volleyball team defeated UConn, 3-0, Friday night at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion. The scores of the match were 30-23, 30-28, and 30-20. With the win, the Red Storm improved to 22-3 overall (7-1 BIG EAST), while the Huskies dropped to 12-9 (3-5 BIG EAST).

No. 20 Volleyball Rolls Again, 3-0
The No. 20 Ohio volleyball team made a statement on the road Friday evening, defeating Mid-American Conference West Division leader Western Michigan in straight games, 30-26, 30-18, 30-22, ending Western Michigan's seven-match winning streak. Ohio improves to 16-4 overall and remains tied with Miami atop the MAC East Division standings with a conference record of 8-1. Western Michigan's overall record falls to 16-7 with the loss and its conference mark drops to 7-2.

No. 19 Oregon Sweeps OSU
For the second straight season, the No. 19 University of Oregon volleyball team walked out of Gill Coliseum with a sweep (30-23, 30-21, 30-20) over Oregon State on Friday night as part of the 2007-08 Northwest Dodge Civil War Series.
The Ducks snap their four match losing streak, and improve to 15-6 on the year and 4-5 in the Pacific-10. The Beavers, who knocked off then fourth-ranked UCLA a week ago, fall to 9-12 overall and 2-7 in conference.

Blue Devils Take Down Virginia Tech
Carrie DeMange turned in a match-high 16 kills and four blocks to lead No. 17 Duke to a 3-0 (30-22, 31-29, 30-26) victory over Virginia Tech Friday evening in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
DeMange connected on exactly half of her 32 attacks to finish with a team-leading .406 hitting percentage and picked up 10 digs for her 12th consecutive double-double. Rachael Moss also reached double figures with 12 kills, while Jourdan Norman added ten and three blocks.

Wildcats Golden Against No. 13 Gophers, 3-2
In the midst of its longest losing skid since 2001, Northwestern returned home to Welsh-Ryan Arena Friday night and knocked off No. 13 Minnesota in a five-game thriller, 30-16, 25-30, 30-27, 27-30, 17-15.
The Wildcats had dropped seven matches in a row after defeating then-No. 23 Ohio State on September 21 to begin the Big Ten season. NU now is 11-9 overall on the season, 2-7 in the conference with both of those league wins coming against ranked opponents. Minnesota's loss drops it to 12-7 on the year, 5-4 in the Big Ten.

Volleyball Knocks Off No. 12 Dayton, 3-1
On a night to raise awareness for breast cancer research and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation the Xavier volleyball team definitely made a statement. The Musketeers handed unbeaten No. 12 Dayton its first loss of the year in four games, 30-25, 30-13, 21-30, 30-16. XU improves to 19-6 on the season and remains perfect in Atlantic 10 competition, 9-0, taking over the top spot in the A-10 West. Sophomore Kelly Ruth led the Blue and White with her 11th double-double of the year (15K, 18D).
