BERKELEY - The No. 8 California volleyball team (18-5, 8-4 Pac-10) defeated Oregon State (10-14, 3-9) tonight at Haas Pavilion in a three-game sweep of the Beavers (30-15, 30-19, 30-23). The Bears are now one win away from tying their total conference wins from a year ago.
Cal had 53 kills on 100 attacks (15e) for a hitting percentage of .380, the highest output since playing at Oregon on Oct. 4, and the fourth highest percentage of the season. Sophomore outside hitter Hana Cutura led the Bears with 15 kills (5e, 29att, .345) and added two service aces to her stat line. Freshman setter Carli Lloyd had 41 assists on her sets and got in on two blocks. Sophomore libero Kristen Kathan led the team with 16 digs.
