Volleyball Defeats Hartford, 3-1
Hartford, Conn. - The Providence College volleyball team defeated Hartford, 3-1 on Wednesday, October 31. The Friars defeated the Hawks by the scores of 30-28, 24-30, 30-26, and 30-27. With its third straight win, Providence improves its record to 18-9. The 18 wins marks the highest win total since 1997 when the Friars earned 21 victories.

No. 17 DAYTON SWEEPS WRIGHT STATE, 3-0
FAIRBORN, Ohio - A Wright State program-record 763 fans were not enough to spook No. 17 Dayton as the Flyers swept the Raiders, 3-0 (30-27, 30-25, 30-27) at McLin Gymnasium on Wednesday. With its fifth straight win over WSU, UD improved to a nation's best 24-1 overall.

No. 12 Cats Improve with 3-0 Win in Lubbock
LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 12 Kansas State powered to a 3-0 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Wednesday night in Lubbock, Texas, with four Wildcats finishing in double-digit kills. High-hitting from the Cats elevated the team to an 18-6 record overall as K-State moves to 10-4 in the Big 12. Tech drops its 13th-straight match and falls to a 7-16 overall record while being 1-13 in the conference.

No. 10 VB Rides Seniors To Sweep Of South Carolina

Senior outside hitter Marcie Hampton (Gainesville, Fla.) posted her 12th double-double of the season and senior setter Angie McGinnis (Fraser, Mich.) broke the school record for setter digs as the No. 10 University of Florida volleyball team swept South Carolina (30-18, 30-9, 30-20) on Wednesday night.

Hooker lifts No. 3 Volleyball to sweep of No. 18 Oklahoma
AUSTIN, Texas -- The third-ranked Texas Volleyball team hit at a .467 clip and recorded just six errors as the Longhorns swept past No. 18 Oklahoma, Wednesday night at Gregory Gymnasium. Sophomore outside hitter Destinee Hooker paced the Texas attack with 16 kills on .533 hitting and 12 digs.

Huskers Top Tigers, 3-2
Lincoln – Sarah Pavan totaled four of her match-high 22 kills in a game five, lifting No. 2 Nebraska to a 30-19, 32-34, 30-11, 24-30, 15-10 victory over a game Missouri squad Wednesday night at the NU Coliseum.
Pavan recorded her third double-double of the year with 22 kills on .347 hitting and 14 digs, and came up big in game five with four kills, including each of the final two points, and four digs. Her effort helped the Huskers extend their home winning streak to 67 matches and bounce back from their first loss of the year last Wednesday.

Dominating Hitting Performance Moves Winning Streak to Five
The Eastern Washington University volleyball team moved to 10-3 in Big Sky Conference play with an impressive 30-25, 30-28, 30-22 road sweep over Northern Arizona on Thursday (Nov. 1). The Eagles remain just behind Portland State (11-2 BSC) for the second spot in the league standings and Sacramento State (9-1 BSC) for the conference lead.

Toreros Sweep Away the Gaels
MORAGA, Calif. - Behind sophomore outside hitter Amy DeGroot's match-best 15 kills, the 15th-ranked University of San Diego women's volleyball team swept Saint Mary's College Thursday evening in a West Coast Conference match.
With the 30-20, 30-22, 30-26 win, the Toreros improve to 17-6 overall and 7-2 in the WCC. With the loss, the Gaels fall to 12-10 overall and 4-6 in the WCC.

No. 13 NMSU Volleyball Gets Second Sweep of the Week
Boise, Idaho-The No.13 New Mexico State volleyball team picked their second sweep in as many games as the Aggies beat Boise State 3-0 (30-18, 30-24, 30-19) in Boise, Idaho, Thursday, Nov. 1.
In front of 322 rowdy fans in Bronco Gym, junior Lindsey Yon (San Antonio, Texas) led the way with 12 kills, while sophomore Krista Altermatt (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) had nine. As a team, NMSU had 13.5 blocks while senior Kim Oguh (El Paso, Hanks HS) was involved in nine of those blocks.

No. 11 Rainbow Wahine Sweep Wolf Pack In Reno
RENO, Nev. - The No. 11 University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team (18-4, 12-0 WAC) swept the Nevada Wolf Pack (13-8, 9-4) 30-17, 30-20 and 30-27 in front of a crowd of 963 at the Virginia Street Gym Thursday.
Jamie Houston led the way for UH with 21 kills and eight digs while hitting .410. Aneli Cubi-Otineru added 11 kills, eight digs and four blocks with a .333 hitting percentage while Juliana Sanders hit .333 with six kills and five blocks. Tara Hittle came back from a rough start to post nine kills and 12 digs, while Stephanie Brandt had 38 assists and 11 digs. Elizabeth Ka`aihue added a match-high 14 digs.
