Senior opposite hitter Amber McCray (Longview, Texas) recorded a match-high 14 kills and freshman outside hitter Callie Rivers (Winter Park, Fla.) posted her third-career double-double on Sunday to lead the 10th-ranked University of Florida volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-28, 30-23, 30-25) win over Arkansas at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
With 14 kills on .462 hitting, McCray was part of a UF attack that posted a .339 mark on the day. Junior middle blocker Kelsey Bowers (Gainesville, Fla.) hit .529 to lead the way for five Gators who hit better than .300. Florida’s defense was also active on Sunday, recording 10.0 total blocks to mark the team’s seventh-straight outing with a double-figure block total. UF (22-1, 15-1 Southeastern Conference) also held a 50-42 dig margin on the afternoon.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio. - The No. 16 Ohio volleyball team handed Bowling Green its first home loss of the season Sunday afternoon, defeating the Falcons 3-0 (30-25, 30-28, 32-30) on senior day at Anderson Arena. Ohio improves to 13-1 in the Mid-American Conference and 21-4 overall, while Bowling Green falls to 10-4 in the MAC and 19-9 overall.
Bowling Green entered the match with a 12-0 record at home, but the Falcons were unable to slow a surging Ohio team that has now won 11 straight matches.
After breaking the Ohio career kills record Saturday, senior middle blocker Melissa Griffin (Whitehall, Mich.) once again led the Bobcat attack, finishing with a team-high 16 kills (.278) and adding four blocks. Ohio sophomore outside hitter Ellen Herman (Toledo, Ohio) totaled 11 kills (.219) and sophomore middle blocker Jane Sytsma (Madison, Wis.) had an efficient match with eight kills (.583) and a match-high five blocks in the victory.

CLEVELAND - Redshirt freshman Lindsay Fletemier posted a double-double of 11 kills and 10 blocks to help #17 Dayton sweep Cleveland State, 3-0 (30-28, 30-16, 30-21) in non-conference volleyball action on Sunday. With the win, UD improved to a nation's best 26-1 overall.

Svetlana Dukule had 14 kills, hitting .448 and notching four blocks as the University of Louisville beat visiting Pittsburgh 3-1 in BIG EAST volleyball action Sunday afternoon at Cardinal Arena. The Cardinals extend their winning streak to 16-straight and stay perfect in the league at 12-0.
U of L posts a 19-4 record with the 30-18, 28-30, 30-27, 30-20 win over Pitt. The Panthers drop to 14-13 and 7-6 in the BIG EAST. U of L hit .324 to PU's .168 and outblocked the Panthers 12.5 to 10. Lecia Brown, the nation's leading blocker, recorded a match-high nine and added 13 kills to the cause.
"We were challenged by a very determined team today," said U of L head coach Leonid Yelin. "Our blocking finally came alive late in the match and made the difference for us.

QUEENS, N.Y. - In front of the home crowd at Carnesecca Arena for Senior Day on Sunday afternoon, the No. 22 Red Storm volleyball team defeated the Marquette Golden Eagles, 3-0 (30-24, 30-21, 30-26). The win was St. John's sixth in a row and 15th out of its last 16. With the win, the Red Storm extends its home winning streak to 22 straight matches stretching over the past three seasons, and is undefeated in the past two.
The win improves the Red Storm to 26-3 overall (11-1 BIG EAST), while Marquette drops to 8-14 (5-7 BIG EAST). St. John's has secured the second seed in the BIG EAST Tournament, which begins on Friday, Nov. 16 at Marquette's Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee, Wis.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University senior outside hitter Kelly-Anne Billingy tallied 14 kills and hit .394 for the match to help lift the Herd to a 3-0 (30-27, 30-21, 30-24) sweep of the University of Central Florida in Sunday afternoon's Conference USA volleyball match.
With the victory, Marshall wins its seventh match in a row and 14 of its last 15 to improve to 20-8 overall, 13-1 C-USA, and also marks the sixth consecutive season the Herd has reached the 20-plus-win mark.
