No. 15 Ohio Outlasts NIU, 3-1
TOLEDO, Ohio - - The No. 15 Ohio volleyball team opened its quest for a fifth-straight Mid-American Conference Tournament title with a 3-1 (30-23, 26-30, 30-25, 30-25) victory against Northern Illinois Friday evening in the tournament quarterfinals at the SeaGate Centre. The top-seeded Bobcats used a complete team effort to defeat the eighth-seeded Huskies, as four Bobcats recorded double-digit kills in the win.

Ducks Victorious in Civil War
EUGENE, Ore. – The second leg of the Northwest Dodge Dealers Civil War Series proved to be worth all the hype on Friday night, as the 14th-ranked Ducks defeated visiting Oregon State, 3-1 (30-19, 25-30, 30-16, 30-19) in front of 2,777, the largest crowd of the season at Mac Court.

Aggies Advance to WAC Final with Sweep
LAS CRUCES, N.M.-Junior middle hitter Amber Simpson had 15 kills to lead the No. 13 New Mexico State volleyball to a three-game sweep over San Jose State, 31-29, 31-29, 30-23 in the semifinals of the 2007 WAC Championship Tournament at the Pan American Center, Friday, Nov. 16. The Aggies now face No. 11 Hawai’i in the title match, Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7:00 p.m.

10th-Ranked UCLA Sweeps Washington State
LOS ANGELES - Juniors Ali Daley, Kaitlin Sather and Nellie Spicer all had double-doubles and sophomore Diana Douglas registered her first career kill for the match-clincher, as the 10th-ranked Bruins swept Washington State on Friday night at Pauley Pavilion. Game scores were 31-29, 30-21, 30-17.

No. 6 California Defeats Arizona In 3-0 Sweep
BERKELEY - The No. 6 California volleyball team (21-6, 11-5 Pac-10) defeated Arizona (10-18, 3-12) in a three-game sweep (30-25, 38-36, 30-22) tonight at Haas Pavilion. The Bears are now one win from tying their school record for conference wins of 12 with two games remaining on the schedule.

Klineman Paces Stanford in Squad's 18th Sweep of the Year
Stanford, Calif. - Freshman outside hitter Alix Klineman drilled 16 kills and the fourth-ranked Cardinal women's volleyball team cruised to its 18th sweep of the year tonight in Maples Pavilion. Four players posted double-figure kills, four hit over .400 and the squad held onto the conference lead with a 30-27, 30-24, 30-14 victory. The Cardinal improves to 25-2 overall and 14-2 in the Pac-10 with the win, while ASU falls to 15-13, 7-8 Pac-10.

No. 1 Penn State Women's Volleyball Clinches Share Of Title With Win Over No. 9 Wisco
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Nov. 16, 2007 - The top-ranked Penn State women's volleyball team secured at least a share of the Big Ten title Friday night with a four-game win (30-28, 30-22, 24-30, 30-25) over No. 9 Wisconsin at Rec Hall in front of 3,002 fans. The Nittany Lions (25-2, 17-0) will compete for their unprecedented fifth consecutive outright conference title and their 11th overall crown in 17 years Saturday night against Illinois at 7:00 p.m. at Rec Hall in their regular-season home finale. The Badgers fall to 22-4 and 14-3 in the conference, remaining in second place in the league.
