No. 7 Men’s Volleyball Escapes With Win Over IPFW
MUNCIE, Ind. - - The seventh-ranked Ball State men’s volleyball team escaped Worthen Arena with thrilling 3-2 (32-34, 23-30, 30-23, 30-28, 15-11) come-from-behind victory over visiting IPFW Friday evening, marking the club’s 10th-straight victory.
With the win, the Cardinals remain tied with No. 10 Ohio State for the top spot in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association with identical 8-1 league records. Ball State, who is 15-6 overall this season, currently holds the tiebreaker with a Buckeyes having won the first meeting between the two clubs.

No. 10 Buckeyes Defeat Loyola-Chicago, 3-1
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 10th-ranked Ohio State (12-6 overall, 8-1 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) men’s volleyball team overcame a 30-28 game one win by Loyola-Chicago (12-10, 5-4) to defeat the Ramblers, 3-1 (28-30, 30-28, 30-28, 30-26) Friday night in Alumni Gym. Buckeye Robbie Klein (Sr.-Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio) scored a match-high 20.5 points in the contest with Brett Versen (5th-Sr., Centerville, Ohio) adding 19. Klein had a match-high 17 kills, one ace serve and five assist blocks while Versen had 16 kills, an ace serve, a solo block and two assist blocks. Rambler Ian Anderson had a team-high 15.5 points for Loyola-Chicago with Nick Lamoureux adding 15. Anderson had 13 kills, two ace serves and an assist block while Lamoureux collected 11 kills, two ace serves and four assist blocks.

Murphy Troy Leads USC Men's Volleyball To Win Over Hawaii
Murphy Troy had a career-high 32 kills to lead the No. 12-ranked USC men's volleyball team to a 30-22, 24-30, 30-26, 30-24 win over No. 13 Hawaii in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Friday (March 21) at USC's Galen Center.
USC snapped a 4-match losing streak to improve to 10-12 overall and 7-9 in the MPSF, while Hawaii fell to 9-11 and 6-9.
Troy hit .460 and had 12 digs, while teammate Juan Figueroa added 20 kills, 17 digs and 5 blocks, Hunter Current had 10 kills (hitting .600) and 6 blocks and Tri Bourne-making his first career start-had 20 digs. The Trojans had a season-high 69 digs.

49ers Win In Four Over BYU
Paul Lotman led four Long Beach State players in double figure kills with 24 as the fourth-ranked 49ers defeated third-ranked Brigham Young 30-25, 30-26, 28-30, 30-24 on Friday evening at the Walter Pyramid. Long Beach improves to 19-3 overall and 14-2 in the MPSF with the victory, while the Cougars fell to 17-4 and 12-4 in league action.
Lotman also added three aces, seven digs and five blocks as Long Beach hit .338 in the match against a tough BYU defense. Dean Bittner had 22 kills and six blocks, Josh Riley had a career-high 11 kills and Dan Alexander rounded out the scoring with 10 kills and a team-high seven blocks. The 49ers had nine service aces in the match and out-blocked the Cougars 14.0 to 12.0. In the back row, Dustin Watten dug a match-high 12 balls and Bittner added eight digs.

Loyola Rolls Past IPFW in Three Games
The Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team held MIVA foe IPFW to a meager .088 hitting percentage as the Ramblers swept the defending NCAA runner-up Mastodons Saturday night at Alumni Gym. The Ramblers won 33-31, 30-27, 30-25 and improve to 13-10 (6-4 MIVA) on the year, while the Mastodons slip to 9-10 (3-6 MIVA) on the season.

Warriors Overcome Sluggish Start, Rally For Five-Set Win Over USC
The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team (10-11, 7-9 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) overcame a horrendous games two and three in a 30-28, 16-30, 17-30, 32-30, 17-15 victory over 12th-ranked USC, Saturday at the Galen Center. The Warriors leapfrogged the Trojans in the MPSF standings and moved into eighth place.
Freshman Brennon Dyer, who started for James Clar on the outside, led the Warriors with a career-high 15 kills. Joshua Walker added 14 kills, six blocks, and four digs. Steven Grgas posted five kills and eight blocks while Keali'i Frank had seven kills on eight swings.
