In looking for how to get a question answered, I happened on The Forum. I joined. The question: For High School liberos, how does our team maximize our libero's time on the floor through creative substituting and rotation (she will play all three back row positions, and serve in her legal position)?? The best answer I have inferred from postings is to be on the floor continuously, except for a 1/2 rotation now and then, but I do not see in my mind the rotation/serve system! I have read, re-read, re-read, etc. the NFHS, and cannot get the answer in my mind. Thank you!

Because you can have a libero sub for anyone on the court as many times as you want, you want to take full advantage by having her sub for as many players as possible. But, in my opinion (for a high school team), it's best to only sub her for 2 positions, preferably opposite each other. If you get more complicated, the rest of the defense may get confused and then it defeats the purpose of the having the best defender on the court. Plus! It may force some average back row players to improve their game. Good luck!
