In spite of today's defeat against Sweden, Latvia advances to the next round
The Latvian national team lost the last match scheduled for the 1st Round – Pool B of the 2010 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship which was staged this weekend in the capital city of the Baltic Republic. In front of the home crowd Latvia lost to Sweden in five sets (25-20, 25-20, 27-29, 21-25, 12-15). Best scorer of the match was Marcus Nilson for Sweden with 29 points. In spite of this defeat, Latvia advances to the next round of the 2010 FIVB World Championship thanks to yesterday’s 3-0 victory against Norway.
