Estonia to make debut at FIVB Women's World Championship
The Estonian Women’s national team will make their debut in the FIVB World Championship this weekend when they host the first-round Pool C tournament in the capital city of Tallinn.
Denmark, Georgia and Moldova will be the other women’s teams competing in the January 9-11 round-robin tournament.
Estonian head coach Peeter Vahtra said, "All teams can provide some surprises but we hope to be the best at the end of tournament.”
The winners at Kalev Sports Hall advance to the FIVB World Championship second round Pool F tournament in Bulgaria, where they will play the hosts, Czech Republic, Romania and Albania.
The 2010 FIVB Women's World Championship finals are scheduled to take place in Japan from October 29 to November 14.
