ANAHEIM, Calif. (Jan. 14, 2008) – Four members of the U.S. Men’s National Team were honored for their play at the 2008 NORCECA Men’s Continental Olympic Qualifier in Caguas Puerto Rico. The U.S. Men won the tournament on Friday with a 5-0 record and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Rich Lambourne (Tustin, Calif.) was named best libero and best receiver. Outside hitter Sean Rooney (Wheaton, Ill.) won best spiker. Middle blocker Ryan Millar (Palmdale, Calif.) was named top blocker and opposite Clay Stanley (Honolulu, Hawai’i) took best server.
