2’s and 4’s Grass Tournament October 16th

GRASS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT WITH:
1. Men’s 2’s
2. Women’s 2’s
3. Regular Co-ed 2’s (net at men’s height)
4. Reverse Co-ed 2’s (net at women’s height and men hit behind 10’ line)
5. “Irregular Co-ed 4’s” (net at men’s height) with the following rules:
● You must have 1 woman on the court. "Woman touch" rule applies.
● You can have 2 substitutes on your team at $10 per sub.
● You can serve receive with open hands. Double contact with open hands on serve receive is allowed, but no lifts/throws
● Non-driven balls (not including serves) taken with open hands must be clean (no double and no lift).
● Driven balls can be double contacted and temporarily lifted (Hard driven serves can be double contacted, but NOT lifted.)
● Open hand dinks are allowed.
● 3 contacts after the block.
● Rotation IS REQUIRED! You must rotate positions and play from those positions. Everyone gets a chance to set! Yikes!
● Playing on a “short court” with antenna.
6. Individual Signups:
● Signup individually and be placed in a Round-Robin Pool OR be paired up and placed in regular pool play.
● What is Round-Robin Pool Play? You will play with and against all of the other players in your pool. The top 4 players from your pool play will advance to playoffs in regular pool play (2 teams are formed with the #1 and #2 players from pool play as one team and #3 and #4 as the other team). This is a great way to meet new players and make new friends! FUN!

Each have an “A” an “B” Division. (Divisions ARE NOT equivalent to CBVA ratings. Please see web site for more information.)

● Sunday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. Check-in 9:30 – 9:45 a.m.

WHERE:
● Marina Vista Park in Long Beach

COST:
● $40 per team for 2’s
● $50 per team for 4’s
● $10 for a substitute for 4’s
● $25 for individual signups

PRIZES:
● 1st Place: 2 Spalding U.S. Open Official Tour Volleyballs, 2 ZemGear Gift Certificates, 2 Pocket Pumps, 2 AVP Apparel, 2 Cuervo Towels, and two 2011 FSV t-shirts.
